The kumquat or dwarf orange is, of its entire family of citrus fruits, the smallest and the only one whose skin is edible. It is ovoid in shape, the taste of its skin is acidulous sweet and that of the pulp acidic and slightly bitter.
CULINARY USES
These small Chinese mandarins are usually eaten candied, in jam or jam. They go very well with desserts and chocolate cakes. They are prepared with their peel which is sweeter than the pulp.
